Karen is the founding owner of The Village Salon.
I've been doing nails for 6 years now, and I absolutely love my job! I love that I can help my clients feel relaxed and more beautiful. One of my favorite things to do is the dip powder nails. It's such a fun service to do and the results are amazing! I also do shellac manicures and pedicures, as well as regular manicures and pedicures. I went to Panola College cosmetology school. I love each and everyone of my clients. I value our time together, our conversations and the friendships that my job has given me. I believe that is what keeps my clients coming back to me. When I’m not at work, I love spending quality time with my husband and two beautiful kiddos. Family means everything to me! We love to travel and spend as much time outdoors as possible. I also enjoy getting lost in a good book. I *might* have a slight obsession with pizza and Mexican food. Ohh and iced coffee ~ I have to have my iced coffee!! I have a passion for sailing and I love, love, love NYC! I am an animal lover ~ we have 2 dogs, a cat and 2 horses. I'm totally obsessed with my chocolate lab Stella! (She's my 3rd child. She doesn't know she's a dog!) Future clients can contact me at The Village Salon, or on my cell phone.
I have been doing hair since January of 2014. I love that I get to make people feel beautiful, and I love all of my clients. My favorite things to do at work are hair color and makeup. I also specialize in eyelash extensions and hair extensions. I went to Panola College cosmetology school. I am a perfectionist when it comes to doing my job, and I will take the extra time needed to make sure that every small detail is taken care of with each client and their specific needs. After work I love to spend time with my husband and children. Future clients can contact me at The Village Salon. Just ask for Ariana!
I have been doing hair for a year and a half now. I love my job because I get to help people feel beautiful on the inside and out! I also enjoy meeting new people, and I love the art that is incorporated in doing hair. My favorite things to do are balayage, makeup and party colors! I offer haircuts, perms, waxing, blow outs, color and makeup. I went to school at Panola College. I always make sure to listen to exactly what my client wants because listening is so important. I am honest with my clients if I think that what they want will compromise their hair, or if it’s not achievable in one session. I look at my clients as friends not just customers! When I’m not working you can find me spending time with my husband, friends and family! I also love trying new foods and going on spontaneous adventures. Future clients can contact me at The Village Salon, or on my cell!
I have been at the salon for 15 years. My favorite thing to do is highlights. I love making someone look different. Some services I offer are Brazilian Blowouts, highlights, all over color, wax and haircuts. I received my cosmetology license at Panola College. I believe my clients can be very open with me. My whole life is taking care of my two daughters. When I’m not at work, you can find me with them. Clients can contact me at The Village Salon, or on my cell phone.
I have been with the Village Salon for 20 years. I received my education at Panola College. I enjoy doing colors and highlights, as well as cuts. I love to be around people, and I believe that is what has helped me be successful in this business. I try to have fun and make every client’s visit as enjoyable as possible. In my spare time I love to travel and gamble a little bit too! I can be reached by calling the salon, but prefer clients to contact me on my cell phone.
I first began doing hair in 1989, but after two years my life went in another direction. In 2010 it was time to get back behind the chair! That was the best decision ever! I love cutting and coloring men and women's hair. I also offer specialty treatments such as Brazilian Blowouts, B3 Bond Builder, eyebrow and lip waxing. I attended Panola College for my cosmetology license. I have also received a Redken Specialist Certification, Brazilian Blowout Certification and I have attended numerous classes to hone my skills. I listen to what my clients want and need, and always strive to maintain the health of their hair. Some of my favorite things to do outside of work are go cruising on the lake, listen to live music, read and spend time with my husband and daughters. My clients can reach me by calling The Village Salon and asking for Pebbles!
I have been doing my job for 15 years, and I like that it's something different everyday. I knew I always wanted to do something in the art field, but I didn't want to spend 4-8 years at art college just to struggle at it. This was the next best option, and I haven't looked back since. I thoroughly enjoy making people feel better about themselves, and getting to express my creativity through them at the same time! I would have to say haircuts are one of my favorite things to do; in particular specialty cuts for women and men i.e. mohawk, fauxhawk, hard part undercuts, shaved designs, emo type styles, etc. Secondly color such as ombré/balayage, vivid colors etc. I also offer waxing, perming, and blowouts. I received my cosmetology license from Panola College. Continuing education is a constant for me as well through classes online, in salon, through distributors and at hair-shows. I've been to classes and shows in big places such as IBS in New York and Las Vegas. Not to mention smaller outfits in Austin, San Antonio, Dallas, and Houston. I believe my honesty with the client, dedication and hard work to the outcome are what keep my clients coming back to me. I also get complimented the most on the growout and fadage of my work. Aside from my hobby/side work creating and making artwork of varied forms (such as painting, drawing, etc.), you can find me cutting up and spending time with my kids, family and friends. I love dancing, horseback riding and working with animals. Feel free to contact me at The Village Salon, on my cell or via Facebook messenger.
